High SAT and PSAT Scores Achieved!

During the past semester, our students have achieved scores as high as:

PSAT/NMSQT Test

99% percentile in total score.

99% percentile in Math.

SAT Test

94% percentile in total score.

97% percentile in Math.

This year, our G12 students have already received offers from top universities around the world, including the University of Edinburgh (QS #16), the University of Hong Kong (QS #22) and New York University (QS #42).

As one of the most widely used standardized test for college admissions, SAT intends to assess students’ readiness for college.

Boston International School is an authorized testing center for the SAT Suite of Assessments, which means Boston International School students can take the exams on campus without travelling.

From March 2023, SAT Suite of Assessments are going to be administrated digitally. What is SAT Suite? What’s changing in digital SAT Suite? This article is going to answer these questions.

About SAT Suite of Assessments

The SAT Suite of Assessments is made up of the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9. The tests, created by the College Board, measure the same skills and knowledge at a level that is appropriate for the different grade levels taking the tests.

Typically, 11th and 12th graders take the SAT, 10th or 11th graders take the PSAT/ NMSQT, 10th graders take the PSAT 10, while 8th and 9th graders take the PSAT 8/9. All assessments in the suite test reading, writing and language, and math skills.

Digital SAT Suite

The SAT will be administered digitally at international test centers starting in March 2023.

Students will take the SAT Suite assessments on a laptop or tablet.

Each assessment in the SAT Suite will be shorter – about two hours instead of three.

Students and educators will receive scores faster.

Calculators will be allowed on the entire math section.

The digital SAT will be more secure and flexible. Going digital allows to give every student a virtually unique test form, so it will be practically impossible to share answers.

Students testing outside the U.S. will have two additional opportunities to take the SAT, bringing the total number of SAT administrations to seven each year.

College Counselling

In BIS, the College Counselling team creates a path with students beginning in their 8th grade year through a rich systematic experience inclusive of the SAT suite of assessments, as well as other resources offered at BIS, as IB, AP and IGCSE, helping the students to find the universities with the right fit.
