Latin Beat

In order to develop the Latin music perception and understanding the students learnt Andean piece of music “Floreo de Llama”. Learning objectives and outcomes:

– Understand rhythms, ostinatos and melodies related to Andean music, some of which use syncopation;

– Use thinking skills (analyzing and evaluating) to contribute towards improving performance and to consider why a piece of music is effective;

– Contribute towards class ensemble work on an Andean piece of music.

Class worked collaborative to play in an ensemble, some students were risk-takers to play quite challenging parts. They also experience to perform in front of audience, so the students had to be concentrated and focused that do not break the whole ensemble.
