G11 Business Insight Day

On June 19th, our G11 business students made a trip to the Columbia Clinic to take part in a business insight workshop. The main focus was to give the students an insight into life at a high-end clinic, the clinic business developing trends and the variety of skills and roles that they employ.

In the morning they were given the opportunity to take a tour of the clinic to get to know the business. After this, it was the students’ time to look through things and put what they’d learnt into practice. With meeting the COO (Chief Operational Officer) Mr. Jinyu Liu, the Marketing Specialist Ms. Cindy Liu and the other employees of the clinic, the students asked their critical questions regarding the business’s developing trends and medical business insight analysis. The students will produce their own reports which reflect on their analysis, evaluation and recommendations.

G11 Business Competition with International School Brunei

Weeks ago, I was chatting with a fellow business teacher, Ms He, who works at International School Brunei. We found out that there were so many things we have in common. And we wondered if our students would like to know each other too. A random chat between two business teachers led to an online business competition between two countries.

On June 15th our G11 business students had a 40-minute online business competition with International School Brunei Year 12 business students. The business students of the two schools competed for financial knowledge and skills. It was glad to see all students from two schools so dedicated and excited. They will get to know each other more because we will make the competition a routine at the end of each unit. Communication is a two-way street.
