New Year Greetings

Spring returned, fresh starts for everything. Together, the BIS family has spent another year of great significance. In 2022, international education continued to face unprecedented challenges. The ever-changing policies and the continuous impact of the epidemic greatly increased the difficulty of building a teaching staff. However, in the face of challenges, Boston International School, as always, insisted on improving the quality of teaching, and once again broke through itself in the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) exam and achieved historic good results. On the occasion of saying goodbye to the old and ushering in the new, the Board of Boston International School would like to express its heartfelt thanks to every BIS family member for their unremitting efforts and best wishes for the New Year!

Looking back on the past, we modeled principled. In order to maintain the regular teaching and learning at school, every employee responded to the government’s call to minimize unnecessary travel and ensure the safety and order of the campus to the greatest extent. Looking back on the past, we were inquirers. Our teachers and students made bold attempts. We not only insisted on high-quality in-person teaching, but also opened 9 AP courses in addition to the IB courses, giving students much more choices. Looking back on the past, we were also risk-takers, we provided our students with well-planned activities: volleyball tournaments, sports days, spelling bees for primary and secondary schools, Mandarin competition, music and art festivals, winter concerts and etc. It was our original intention to try our best to enrich students’ after-school life. Looking back on the past, we were all caring people. We advocated a green and low-carbon lifestyle and spoke out for environmental protection. We organized charity sales to warm and help the disadvantaged groups in society. We cared for everyone’s growth and progress, sincerely protected the physical and mental health of teachers and students, helped each other in the most difficult times, and walked hand in hand.

The policy at the end of 2022 marked the end of the three-year fight against the epidemic. We have seen the end of the thousand sails and are waiting for the spring to bloom! The new year is accompanied by new opportunities and hopes. I believe that all members of the BIS family will continue to work together, adhere to the student-centered approach, continue to explore and strive for progress, and create a better 2023!
