How do we support students in college application?

Standard Tests

As an authorized testing center for PSAT and SAT, all BIS students are required to take PSAT and SAT tests start from G8. On Oct 14th, G10 and G11 students at BIS took part in the PSAT exam on campus. The PSAT is a great primer for the SAT, and even the ACT. The students achieved good results in the test!

Highest Score achieved — 97% percentile

# Excellent Scores

10 students achieved 90% and up in one or both subjects

BIS is also an authorized testing center for IBDP, AP and IGSCE. We also use MAP testing as an evaluation tool so that teachers and parents will have a better view about the students’ advantages and disadvantages. In addition, we encourage students to take other standard tests like TOFEL and IELTS.

College Counselling

At BIS, we have a strong College Counselling team consisted of our college counsellors and secondary teachers. Our College Counsellors work closely with each student and family progressively as the student moves throughout his or her high school years.

The College Counselling team regularly holds college fairs, providing students opportunities to meet with college admissions representatives on campus. In this semester, 15 universities all over the world have paid their visit to BIS or connected with students online.

On December 8th, we also held a mini US-College Fair here in our auditorium. We were happy to have admission officers from Oregon State University, the University of Alabama at Birmingham, George Mason University and Suffolk University.
