Read and Travel Through Fantasies in Book Week!

The annual Book Week is back on campus! During this week, various kinds of activities and fairs related to reading were held. Let’s have a look!

01 Character Parade

On Friday, November 20th, our readers celebrated the magical, the fantasy, the out of this world, and the lands they dreamed of by playing their favorite roles in fictions! Did you feel the stress of our judgers as they have to pick only one most creative character and one most authentic character from each class?

Our crazy readers really fond of reading!

 

02 Door Decoration and Art Craft

Our Early Years and Elementary readers participated in a competition of Door Decorations and Art Crafts. By decorating doors and designing art crafts, some of them created cozy reading corners in the classrooms, some shared their reading experiences, while some made their doors an entrance to a magical world!

 

03 Book Fair

On November 17th and 18th, Shanghai Book Traders was invited to set up a book fair for our readers.

 

04 Secondhand Book Exchange Corner

Students had the opportunity to bring their books and exchange them in a secondhand book exchange corner.

 

05 Connect to an Illustrator

During the week, elementary students had the chance to connect with Urvashi Dubey, a children’s illustrator based in India. The illustrator narrated visual stories for the students, made their experience in Book Week even greater.

 

06 How to be an Interpreter? Listen to Her

For secondary students, we have invited an interpreter as well as a teacher from the school of Foreign Languages, Jiangnan University to share her experience as an interpreter. Please refer to our second post for detailed information.
