Parent Workshop – Exploring the IB Diploma

On December 4, our DP Coordinator, Mr. Matthew Kirk, led an exploration of the IBDP Program with our parents via a Parent Workshop. The presentation contained an extensive amount of information for parents to fully understand IB Diploma Program and its application in BIS.

The presentation began with the path on BIS getting IB authorization before introducing various DP components and requirements. Mr. Kirk also explained the passing criteria of earning an IB Diploma and some college application standards regarding to IBDP.

Teacher In-Service

On November 29, teachers gathered after school for the monthly Teacher In-Service session. Teacher In-Service is set once per month for teachers to meet and learn more aboutpedagogy, curriculum, and many other important topics in order to deliver the best lessons to students.

Primary Assembly

Primary students led an assembly on December 4. By performing English poetry, PYP students from the B.E Fun English Club presented their results of English learning. PYP Captains of Four Houses also announced updated house points and encouraged students to earn house points by performing IB Learner Profile attributes.
