Our Boston Explorer Program is not only an important extracurricular activity in which students can take chance to explore, but also is a great place to allow students to “take the wheel” and lead their own clubs. As part of our Boston Explorers programs, a significant number of our high school Panthers took time from their schedule to work with students from our primary school.
Monday and Tuesday afternoons High School basketball players “coach” basic basketball skills to students in KG-G2, as simultaneously members of our devision 1 soccer teams work with students from Grades 3-5.
Wednesday afternoons we enjoy even more soccer players teaching skills to primarily KG-G2 students and arranged a match with an under-7 aged team from another school in early March.
Student Coach Andres stated that “the kids had fun and learned about teamwork, fair play, and came away from the game with a 1-1 tie.”
