Our fathers, partners, brothers and friends face a health crisis that is not being talked about. Men are dying too young. We can’t afford to stay silent.
Movember is a month-long endeavor to create awareness around men’s health, particularly regarding Testicular and Prostate Cancer. From humble beginnings back in 2003 the Movember movement has grown to be a truly global one, inspiring support from over 5 million Mo Bros and Mo Sistas.
What are we doing at BIS?
There are 7 teachers who agreed to grow their mustache for the month at BIS. Students will then buy ‘tickets’, either on WeChat or through cash and there will be a draw at the end of the month to see who gets to shave that teacher.
At lunch, Student Council is taking cash donations in the cafeteria! All students were excited to participate!
The money will then be donated to the Cancer Foundation of China to further their research.
The purpose of the Cancer Foundation of China(CFC): to raise funds, to carry out public welfare activities, promote cancer prevention and treatment in China.
