Boston International School (BIS) welcomed Mr. Phillip Cheng, the International Admission Officer from Hong Kong Polytechnic University on September 7th, 2018.
Mr. Cheng gave a very thorough introduction of the university, talked about the various programs they are offering, the achievements of the University and especially, for our M4~D2 students, the entrance requirements, the scholarship system and so on. Student were inspired of what they can achieve and appreciate the learning in BIS, which enables them to be open to all of these great opportunities to face the admission officers from top-tier universities.
After the speech, students were very excited to discuss more questions with Mr. Cheng.
We are very much honored to have two alumni from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, who are also parents of one of our DP students, to join us today as guests. One of them used to be professor at Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the other studied there for Masters. With ongoing support from our parents, we believe our students will achieve more and succeed.
Hong Kong Polytechnic University Introduction
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a public university located in Hung Hom, Hong Kong. The history of PolyU can be traced back to 1937, and it assumed full university status in 1994. It is one of the funded institutions of the territory’s University Grants Committee (UGC).
PolyU has an international faculty and student community and has developed a global network with more than 440 institutions in 47 countries and regions. PolyU offers 220 postgraduate, undergraduate and sub-degree programmes for more than 32,000 students every year. It is the largest UGC-funded tertiary institution in terms of number of students.
