The IB framework is committed to developing students who will make a meaningful contribution to the world, both during and after their education. As the ONLY IB Continuum School in Wuxi, Boston International School always encourage students to devote into community services and charity events, which cultivates their spirit of international citizens.
That’s why student-led charity events are regularly held at BIS. This November, we have Movember & More coming back again and bringing warmth in this chilling season!
Movember (a portmanteau of the Australian-English diminutive word for moustache, “mo”, and “November”) is an annual event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men’s health issues. At BIS, we continued the idea Movember into “Movember & More”-other groups are also taken into consideration. Thus, we shaved moustache and dyed, cut teachers’ hair!
From inviting teachers to participate, designing posters, selling lottery ticket and trailer editing and event organization, Secondary students from Design classes in Entrepreneurship presented BIS with a warm Movember & More assembly in the chilling weather where everyone had great fun.
On November 30, students, faculty and staff members gathered in the auditorium excitedly to find out who were the lucky chosen ones able to moustache and dyed, cut teachers’ hair!
The final ticket sales profit will be donated to the China Cancer Foundation to help people who are in need.
