Curious Mind
Age 4-6
After reading stories of pirate, we drew some hand-print pirates to show the image of pirate that some could be funny, some could be scary and some could be silly. Then we wanted to know more about the pirate – “What does the pirate wear?” “Where do they live?” our children read the story again and tried to find some clues, this prompted us to created some hooks, eye patches and pirate hats that pirates usually wear, in addition, we built a pirate ship with recycling materials all together. When we were sailing our own “pirate ship” we wanted to be like pirate and look for treasures so that we started to create our treasure maps, golden coins and some other treasure to prepare a treasure hunt game, we all enjoyed this exploration so much.
Our little pirates wanted to keep exploring the ocean after the found the treasure. When we had look round the deep blue see we found many different kinds of sea animals such as dolphins, sharks, crabs, octopus and more, however our favorite one is mermaid so that children couldn’t to design our own beautiful mermaid, and also a mermaid shell to keep the mermaid safe away from sharks.
During this week, our children had so much fun and wonderful experiences with friends and teachers at summer camp, we learned how to work in teams to discuss and explore things together, developed different skills, furthermore we tried to use recycling materials to re-create in order to save our planet.

During the first week of our Summer Camp we had a lot of fun with the Phonics activities in which playing and learning was our main purpose. We went into the letters sounds world getting phonetical awareness enriching our vocabulary and creating conscience of the importance to get more English vocabulary to be able to communicate our ideas, feelings and needs. Added to this, it was a great week sharing with new friends and supporting each other to understand the instructions and different activities proposed in English.
