Another academic year is going to conclude, our G12 students are also going to end their journey in high school. On June 17th, we held the graduation ceremony for Class of 2022.
Mastered by our DP Coordinator, Mr. Matthew Kirk, the ceremony began with a welcome speech from our Academic Principal, Mr. Brian Rotunno.
Two teacher representatives and three student representatives gave us heartfelt speeches.
Don’t feel like just because you are finishing the high school chapter, that you are going to go through the next chapter alone. You are going with your family, even if they are not beside you. You are going with your friends (past, present and future), even if they live on the other side of the country (or world). You are going with the new people you meet in your life, strangers included, who are mostly going to be there supporting you, maybe even cheering you on. You have a community surrounding you just a text, a snap, or a DM away.
Like anything you do to succeed, work hard to investigate love and practice its characteristics and attributes. A day will come when you will be called to rely or act upon love in an important way. And when the day comes, you will have lived preparing and expanding your capacity to love, rather than waiting until the day you are called to action to begin your journey.
Lucky Shah:
Accept new ideas, new knowledge, and taking a page out of Mr. Arboleda’s book, sit down and look at the pros and cons of every decision and move on. Ophelia Wang:
We will take the IB learner’s mission statement with us around the world. We are the artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, lawyers and economists with a bright and successful future ahead of us.
Julia Choi:
After this graduation ceremony, we are going to post pictures on our social media using #graduation. I would also like to challenge you to add one more #try. We have tried hard and we have worked hard.
Through dancing, musical performance and photo memories, the students made the night even more unforgettable.
The Ceremony then moved on to the most exciting moment. The class of 2022 was presented with the High School Graduation Diplomas by our Executive President, Ms. Sue Su and Academic Principal, Mr. Brian Rotunno.
Congratulations, Class of 2022!
Wish you all the best on your new journey!
