With the Chinese New Year festival approaching, the whole school is soaking in a joyful atmosphere. This year, we celebrate the lunar new year with a traditional form of gathering called Miao Hui, also known as the Temple Fair.
Early Years
The youngest learners celebrated the Chinese New Year on Jan 27th. The celebration started in the PAC, which impressed us at the very beginning when the Chinese hostess spoke in English while the American host spoke in Chinese.

After the performance, the long-expected Temple Fair started! Different booths presenting Chinese folk cultures were apparently attractive to our curious minds.
Due to the pandemic control policies, parents were not able to enjoy the day with their children. The whole event also went on a live streaming.
Elementary and Secondary School
The elementary and secondary students celebrated the festival on Jan 28th. The Temple Fairs were held by students from G7 to G12, while students from KG to G6 visited each booth to experience the traditional Chinese culture as well as the customs of Korean and Japanese new year.
The senior students made lots of research and study before the fair and well delivered the festival culture to their younger buddies through fun interactions.
