In Boston International School, we attach great importance in English education. With English as the main communication and teaching language at BIS, our students enjoy an atmosphere of an international community and blend into a pure international environment.
Last month, some of our students participated in the TOFEL Junior exam. Most students just take this exam as an opportunity to test their English capability rather than trying to obtain a certificate. Yet the results turned out very exciting with one student got the full points (900), two students got 895 points and a total of 65% participates got good results of above 850 points.

As parents of a G8 student, we understand that English is the fundamental to almost all subjects at school. The reason we want our kid to take the exam is to test his English level on an objective perspective of view. It was his first time to take the TOEFL Junior exam. Although all the preparation he had done was to attend the briefing meeting held by the school, he still felt very confident after the test. But as parents, we didn’t expect such a great result. The result of this “strike test” is a demonstration of the academic rigor and a high-level English environment of BIS. We’d like to express our appreciation to all BIS teachers and hope BIS will continue to get good academic results!

First of all, I was very surprised and happy about the test result. It was the first official test to my son to see how good his English listening and reading comprehension, so I didn’t expect high score like this.
