BIS Graduation Ceremony 2019

Congratulations to our 2019 graduation class from EY, PYP, MYP and DP. We held our Graduation Ceremony and Art Exhibition on 10th and 11th, 2019.

In the evening of June 11th, we celebrated the graduation of our D2 students. Our Executive Principal Mr. Rob Stewart first congratulated all the graduates and expressed his best wishes to them.

“It’s such a delight to be able to have our students graduate here under Boston International School night for the first time and to see how successful they are going in their applications in universities overseas.”

 

Keynote speaker Ms. Jing Zhang, Executive Director from UBS Solutions (China) gave her speech to all attending students and parents. Ms. Jing used to study in an IB school in Australia before she went to Imperial College London. Afterwards, she started her banking career with UBS London and then relocated to Singapore and China. Acting as a bridge between East and West, her topic is Let Our Differences Make the Difference.

“We all have different gifts and talents. We all have missions in the society. Let our differences make the difference for the common good.”Our Secondary Principal Ms. Ann Wagner and faculty representative Mr. Douglas Horton also expressed their wishes to D2 graduates.

“As you move forward, you will find yourselves in many places and situations you didn’t expect. Like you have done this year, embrace those opportunities.”

“I speak on behalf of all the faculty here when I say that I’m extremely proud and privilege to have been part of your journey and for you all to have been part of mine. This school will never quite the same again, but it is better for the contributions you have made.”

Parents also came all the way to the campus in celebrating their children’s graduation proudly.

Our D2 graduates have done a great job this year and received offers from top universities all over the world.

KG students from EY, P5 students from PYP, M3 and M5 students from MYP also celebrated their graduation on June 10th and 11th.

Students from both graduate classes and other grades gave their performances. Sildeshows also show their beautiful memories.

The IB organization encourages all students to participate in art activities. Therefore, we place a strong focus on Art education. Along with Graduation Ceremony, Art Exhibition of this year also took place on campus. Art works from EY to DP were displayed.
