BIS Advantages (III) – Facilities and Equipment

At Boston International School, students can enjoy both high quality teaching, and first class facilities at the same time. Our campus is made up of several academic buildings and shared facilities.

Campus

Benefited from a total invest of 350 million RMB from the Xinwu District, Boston International School is proud of its beautiful campus, which reaches a large coverage of over 86,000 square meters.

The very first IoT (Internet of Things) classroom in Wuxi is located in BIS. BIS is also the ONLY international school that provides the dormitory.

Performance Art Center

BIS enjoys a first-rate Performance Art Center, with instrument training room, theatre room, dance room and piano room. The PA Center is very commonly used in major events and assemblies, providing a stage for all talented students.

The PA Center is equipped with two world-class Steinway pianos. Students are allowed to play with the instruments. Renown musicians from all around the world have also showed their masterpieces here on our campus.

Boarding System

The residential program opened for students from G6. At this “home away from home”, students are enjoying their boarding life on campus. With an advanced facility, high security, and strong academic support, students from inside and outside if Wuxi are well cared for on campus.

All boarders are encouraged to take part in all Boarding House activities. All activities are designed to be interesting and fun learning experiences. Each term a calendar of activities is drawn up, which may include such things as movies, sports games and Festival parties.

Library

BIS School Library has endeavored to provide opportunities for the school community to connect with books and rekindle their love for reading.

We regularly invited authors and illustrators to visit the school. Book Fairs also take place every semester!

Laboratory

BIS is equipped with the laboratory system containing laboratory, chemical storage rooms and CCTV room that not only meets the regulations but also is recognized by the government as a model school.

Canteen

We pay great attention to food quality and safety. In last semster, Boston International School is honored to be listed by Wuxi Market Supervision and Administration as one of the Food Quality and Safety Representative Restaurants of Jiangsu Province.

Gym & Track Field

For sports, there are indoor stadium, gym with shower area, tennis court, basketball court, track& field and constant temperature swimming pool (coming soon).

BIS is a registered full-membership school in local and international sports conferences. We have a sports team called Boston Panthers. We endeavor to enter our teams into as many competitions as possible, especially for the core sports of volleyball, basketball and soccer. Our students not only compete in competitions within the Jiangsu Province but also in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.

EY Center

EY students have their own dedicated building. With an extensive range of specialty rooms: light studio, construction room, atelier and etc. Children are encouraged to discover and learn at all times. Along with the external play area, the center is completely fenced to protect children’s safety.

Elementary School

The elementary school is equipped with its own art room, language room and academic resource room. There is also a playground for elementary students in addition to common areas.

Middle School

The middle school students have their own lockers and common areas for break time. There are also art rooms, language rooms and academic resource rooms. The cooking room is also set in middle school building, while open to all students.

School Bus

Each school bus is set with a specific routine and equipped with an online operation system, which enables us to check the condition of the school buses at any time. This way, we are able to prevent school buses from overspeeding, improve the safety and deal with emergency.
