Rochester Institute of Technology Visited
On Oct 11th, we were honored to have Mr David Wivell, an admission representative from Rochester Institute of Technology on our campus. David gave an introduction to DP students about RIT, while students were also given the chances to talk with him. According to US News Ranking, RIT is frequently among the top colleges and universities in the nation for programs in the fine arts, placing in the top 10for many of the college’s programs, including Photography (3rd), Glass art (2nd), Industrial design (8th) and others.
Parent Workshop
On Oct 11th, the second Parent Workshop of this semester held in our auditorium. Themed Path to High School, the workshop was held by our Student Services Director and College Counsellor Mr Michael Wagner and DP Coordinator Mr Matthew Kirk. The workshop was mainly for parents of G9 and G10 students, who were given the information of IBMYP, IBDP and IGCSE curriculum. Preparations for college application should also be given great attention from G9 and G10.
Principal Tea
On Oct 17th, Japanese parents spent a pleasant morning with Mr Brian Rotunno, Academic Principal and Primary Principal. Brian shared the latest updates from both Primary School and Secondary School and answered parents’ questions accordingly.
Staff Happy Hour – Chinese Painting
Do you feel Chinese culture fascinating? When asked by this question, all our foreign teachers said YES. At this multi-culture community of Boston International School, our teachers were given a lot of opportunities to enjoy Chinese culture. On Oct 11th, we enjoyed an afternoon to learn Chinese paintings.
