01 Japanese Summer Festival
As an international school, we respect and embrace different cultures. Aug 31st marks a lovely weather at the end of summer and the start of autumn. We celebrated with Touwaen Serviced Residence for a Japanese traditional summer festival. We set up a booth that offered Japanese traditional games and everyone had a lot of fun experiencing Japanese culture!
02 EY Assembly
In the morning of Sep 5th, the first EY Assembly of this semester took place in our auditorium. Students were warmly welcomed by Primary Principal Brian and EY Coordinator Bibiana. They started the assembly with a joyful dancing before the briefing of what’s new about the new semester. EY will hold their assemblies once every two weeks.
03 Mooncake Making
To celebrate the impending Mid-Autumn Festival, students had a special Mandarin class in cooking room: mooncake making. They will then have a discussion about Mid-Autumn Festival at Mandarin class through which they will gain more cultural background about this Chinese traditional festival. On Sep 24th and 25th, BIS is going to hold our Mid-Autumn Festival Assembly.
04 Secondary Assembly
Secondary School is scheduled to kick off their Week Without Wall trips next month. On Sep 10th, an assembly was held in order to introduce different routes. Week Without Wall is strongly related to Service as Action program and CAS program (Creativity, Action, Service) stated in IB curriculum.
