01 M2 Claire Cheng Won Equestrian Competition
From May 25th to June 2nd, 2019 CRC SUM ( an equestrian seasonal competition) was held in Nanjing Golden Eagle Plaza. The competition was guided by the Teenage Committee of China Horse Industry Association, China Pony Club and Pony Club Australia. Riders from both China Pony Club and Pony Club Australia run for the prize. Claire Chen from Wuxi Boston International School finally won the competition with the amazing score of 0.23s.
02 P4 Art Experience
P4 students were inquiring into people creating and appreciating different forms of art for many reasons. To support this learning, they took a field trip to Phoenix Art Island on May 30. The day started with a tour of the facility and then students were given the opportunity to create a marine scene using modelling clay. Students were also given a guided tour of an art gallery, and being given an easel, canvas and palette to create their own painting. The students found the day engaging, enjoyable and created many beautiful art forms.
03 P3 Charity Visit
P3 students learned about the economy in their unit of inquiry. They have invited guest speakers and went on field trips to further their understanding of how a market works. Then they applied the strategies they learned to do a successful market which a total turnover of 3755RMB. They decided this money should be used to help children of Liangxi School.
On June 3, P3 students delivered the goods to the school. Our students interacted with those students who are different and less fortunate than them. They felt proud that they were able to make a positive impact on the lives of others and learned the true importance of giving.
04 MYP Roller-coaster Competition
To stress the importance of teamwork and problem solving abilities, MYP teacher organized a special competition of roller-coaster making on June 5th. Students are divided into different groups. Each group was provided with materials of paper, straws, tapes and scissors. In 20-minutes limit, the group which produced the tallest rollercoaster wins.
05 M3 Blind Experience
On June 12th, M3 students went to a special Blind Experience Café: Coffee in the Dark World. In the café they experienced a journey of pure darkness. Through the experience they came to notice how hard life is to be blind. It is meaningful for students to understand the harsh of these special people and learn the importance of respecting them.
06 Water Party
June 14th is the last day of school before summer holiday. All students, teachers and staff gathered together and enjoyed a morning full of water and laughter.
