IB philosophy believes that physical and health education empowers students to understand and appreciate the value of being physically active and to develop the motivation for making healthy life choices. Research has also found that exercise can improve immunity and help with respiratory problems.
Boston International School has always attached emphasis to students’ physical and mental health. Our students are full of energy and passionate for various kinds of sports! Besides our regular PE classes, Panther sport games and PE-related Boston Explorers programs, what we offer to students is more opportunities to take part in sports activities during their break.
Daily Mile
With more students being back on campus, elementary students have been regularly running a daily mile. Daily Mile is a project that started in Scotland and has been taken up by many schools globally. It is simple and gets children out of the classroom for fifteen minutes every day to run or jog with their classmates, making them fitter, healthier, and more able to concentrate in the classroom.
Playground Games
Another way we are keeping students fit and healthy is through our playground games. All students, elementary and secondary, will have a lot of opportunities to play ball games, frisbee, parachute and different kinds of group game to communicate together.
