In the afternoon of 8^th Mar, 18 students from Boston International School payed a visit to UBS office located in Center 66 Office Tower. There they learned how investment is done under the guidance of several UBS brokers and developed their potential in banking industry.

Firstly, Executive Director Jing from UBS kicked the event off by extending her hospitality and warm welcome to students and staff from BIS. Afterwards, students were instructed with basic knowledge of Trade Life Cycle, which prepared them for the coming investment simulation.

Students were divided into three groups and assigned with their respective roles before a ‘fierce’ round of investment simulation competition.

During the first round of competition, Group Yellow got the best score. Then students were re-grouped and started a second round with new roles.

After two rounds of investment simulation competitions, the best performed group was rewarded with a surprising box of delicious snacks from UBS!

The competition aroused students’ interest in banking career. To inspire them more, UBS Director Sharon and Associate Director Maggie, with their international background, shared their working experiences in the industry as well as life lessons.

The career experience event was brought to a successful end with a tour in UBS Wuxi.

• Olivia, M2 – This field trip to UBS was the greatest experience ever, I never think of that to become a businesswoman, but after the great exchange game, I find out the difficulty inside all these works, and even I found out the interest inside, after seeing every worker stay where they should be, do what they should do, everybody do them together, the atmosphere was the main point that gets me really feel honest felicity about. so, overall, this field trip teaches me a lot, I wish we will get more chance to do it.
• Hyoju, D1 – We all had a fabulous time in UBS. We were engaged well and there were lots to see, do and learn. Their presentations were well organized and really knowledgeable. It was fun, informative, nicely decorated and they were all kind. I was really satisfied with the appropriate level of the program for high school students. The game we’ve played was my favorite one.
