IB believes that physical and health education courses foster the development of knowledge, skills and attitudes that will contribute to a student’s balanced and healthy lifestyle. Through physical and health education, students can learn to appreciate and respect the ideas of others, and develop effective collaboration and communication skills. This subject area also offers many opportunities to build positive interpersonal relationships that can help students to develop a sense of social responsibility.
SYAC Cross Country Race
Boston International School hosted a SYAC Cross Country Race on Sep 26th. The whole route reached 3km for G5-8 students and 4.5km for G9-12 ones. Athletes from Wuxi Nanwai King’s College and Suzhou EtonHouse International School attend the game.
During the race, our Panthers exerted all their energies and cheered each other up. They all did an excellent job and broke their records! We were strongly impressed by the team spirit and persistence embodied by Panthers and their counterparts from other schools.
Nevertheless, we cherish more about the friendship than results. It was a superb opportunity for Panthers to make acquaintances with their peers from other schools and regions.
Except for SYAC Cross Country Race, Panthers also hosted and attend other games throughout the past week:
Volleyball Game
On Sep 25th, Boston International School hosted a Volleyball Game with Dulwich College Suzhou. Both Boys’ Volleyball Team and Girls’ Volleyball Team competed with their counterparts.
Touch Rugby Game
On Sep 21st, Boston Panthers paid a visit to Shanghai American School for a Touch Rugby Friendship Game. Touch Rugby is also available in Boston Explorers Program.
Roar, Boston Panthers! Looking forward to cheering for your next highlights!
As the only IB Continuum School in Wuxi, BIS is a registered full-membership school in local and international sports conferences. We endeavor to enter our teams into as many competitions as possible, especially for the core sports of volleyball, basketball and soccer. Our students not only compete in competitions within the Jiangsu Province but also in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
