To help parents better understand about college application, Boston International School held the third Parent Workshop for this semester on the morning of 20th, Mar. It was themed It’s Decision Time: Now What? and presented by our Student Services Director and College Counsellor Mr. Michael Wagner.
Prior to his work in education, Michael spent 17 years in the financial services industry holding a variety of banking positions including Vice President and Branch Manager. Michael has a total of 17 years in education. Michael brings his thorough college counseling experience to the students of Boston International School, welcoming the opportunity to work with all students and families through the college process with the ultimate goal of finding the right “fit” for each individual student.
Boston International School is committed to prepare its students with their own Stories, which outstand them from other competitors. Parents and students should always stay with the whole application process.
What should parents do after students get several offers from different colleges? Mr. Wagner suggested that all kinds of facts, as major, weather, location and finance should all be considered. He also gave a sample of Financial Aid Worksheet for parents’ reference.
As Mr. Wagner stressed, college application is a long process, through which the most important is Finish Strong. We hope that all students in Boston International School can finally receive the offers from their ideal colleges!
