Dear BIS Families,
Every year at this time, we reflect on the days we have been through with emotion always in our hearts. The year of 2020, more than any before, gives us many mixed feelings. It was a year of unusualness, a year of challenge, and yet still a year of hope.
BIS had faced a lot of challenges during this year. Under the circumstances of a global pandemic, some of our students and teachers haven’t been able to come back to our campus even until now. Our teachers had to start an online education platform with little advanced notice. Our students and parents were forced to adapt themselves to new learning methodologies that were largely different from traditional ones. However, thanks to the support and guidance from the government and the combined efforts shared by our faculty, staff, parents and friends, we overcame all these difficulties. We should be extremely proud of ourselves!
In this special year, our faculty and staff consistently challenged themselves to overcome all kinds of difficulties, always making students’ health and academics the top priorities of their work. Members from the Boston Parent Association have donated many hours of their time and energy to support the development of the school. Our students, as the future generation of the world, kept learning and striving for improvement.
“The day is near when the burden will become thy gift, and thy sufferings will light up thy path.” – Tagore. At the end of year 2020, we believe in the power of solidarity. All of the members of our school community have faith in the possibility of a new spring in the year of 2021. On behalf of the BIS management team, I would like to extend our gratitude to the government, to our parents and friends, and to our staff and students, for your great trust and support. We wish you all the brightest and happiest New Year!
