The ongoing 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics attracts the sights of the whole world. The game not only embodies the Olympics motto of Faster, Higher, Stronger and Together, but also inspires us about the concepts of education.

Eileen Gu, the gold medalist who also achieved 1580 in SAT test, has brought the concepts like “lifelong learner”, “liberal education”, “individualized development” and “student-centered” into the public eyes.

In Boston International School, these are not fresh phrases. Rather, these are what we have adhered to from the start of the school.

Curricula and Examinations

The course of study at Boston International School is demanding and rigorous. Our requirements meet or surpass those required for admission to most four-year colleges and universities across the world.

IB – The IB offers high-quality programs of international education that share a powerful vision. Only schools that are certificated by the IB organization to provide at least three programs can be called as IB Continuum School.

AP – The AP Program offers college-level courses and exams that one can take in high school. For senior students, the most important is that they can earn college credits with their AP scores before even set foot on campus.

SAT Suite of Assessments – The SAT Suite of Assessments is made up of the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, and PSAT 8/9. The tests, created by the College Board, measure the same skills and knowledge at a level that is appropriate for the different grade levels taking the tests.

MAP Testing – the Measure of Academic Progress is a computerized adaptive test which helps teachers and parents improve learning for all students and make informed decisions to promote a child’s academic growth.

Individualization Development

As an IB international school, we respect the personalities of each individual and encourage them to find out where their passionate fields are.

Subjects and Courses

Thanks to our abundant educational resources, students are given the opportunities to choose from lots of subjects and courses according to their habits and abilities.

Languages – except for English as the communicating language, we encourage students to study their mother tongue and a third language.

IB Subjects – Start from MYP, students can choose the subjects they are interested in from IB subject groups.

AP courses – AP courses and examinations are also available for students who want to learn more.

Boston Explorers

At Boston International School (BIS), we place equal emphasis on students’ intellectual and personal development, encouraging them to learn from everything they do. BIS offers Boston Explorers – the after-school enrichment program, to provide a wide and diverse range of activities that are geared towards developing interests and skills in a wide range.

Boston Panthers

Sports Teams are a significant part of the BIS experience for our students. As a member school of several inter regional sports association, our Panthers can participate in different teams of soccer, basketball, volleyball, cross country, track & field, badminton, and table tennis around the sports seasons.

College Counselling

Our College Counselling program not only prepares students for academic work at the university level, but assists students in finding the university with the right fit.
