Graduation Ceremony & Art Exhibition

Boston International School (BIS) is an authorized IB school. We have an all experience foreign senior teachers team, a full English curriculum system and a rich extracurricular activities. On May 24th, BIS held the school art exhibition and the graduation ceremony for Taihu campus. (For more details about our school and teaching team, please follow BIS WeChat official account.)

On May 24th, if you were there at the art exhibition in person, you will be amazed by the art works of the students. Magnificent paintings and creative craft works all show the knowledge and skills the students have learned in the art classes.

Students from Early Years Program did their work through different forms of painting, collage, or other creative forms, which help them understand more about the “time and space we are in”, “how the world works” and so on. Different artworks reflect students’ learning and application of basic elements in art, such as lines, shapes and colors.

Students from Primary Years Program, picked the theme “we share one earth”. They created their work through the color visual impact, cold and warm color contrast and harmonization to draw what’s in their minds, write down their own thinking, by using their own way of expression about how to protect our earth.

Students from Secondary School mainly focused on the visual arts learning, such as students were required to use watercolor and/or mask models and/or other different artistic techniques to create self-portrait.

In addition to finish their work, each student had to add description, including the theme, the name, process of creation, and the idea of creation, and also the summary of their work.

Art classes encourage students to develop independent artistic characteristics, and encourage them to use multi-media to transform the observation and understanding of life into artistic expression. These active, passionate, young and pure art and design works, all left unforgettable memories to each one of them.

Students’ artworks will be displayed at BIS Performing Arts Center, parents are welcome to visit.

High School is all finished

Although there are only six of us, we support each other and help each other. We have had an unforgettable time in Taihu campus.

The evening of May 24th, we attended the graduation at BIS as the last graduates from Taihu campus.

On that day, the founder and principal of Taihu campus addressed us and gave best wishes. They inspire us with their own life experiences, encourage us to dare to challenge and become lifelong learners.

Thanks to everyone attending our graduation ceremony, our friends, teachers and classmates. Because of you, we can stand here, holding diplomas and start our new journey.
