G9 Japanese Language Acquisition
Current Unit: Daily Life (Identities and Relationships)
One of the reasons that students do not engage with learning a world language via online methods is that there are not enough dynamic and kinesthetic language activities.
A new unit, Daily Life, was introduced during the period that students were at home. They have learned approximately 150 vocabulary to describe their daily life and more complex sentence structures. After coming back to school, students have focused on communicating both in written and spoken Japanese. As a fun speaking activity, they have produced fantastic Japanese raps with the vocabulary learnt in this unit. This activity encourages students to be more open-minded and be creative. There are many ways of learning apart from memorizing and writing.
