Boston International School enjoys an excellent faculty team with experienced teachers, a happy crowd of talented students and strong support from our parents and friends. We are willing to share some of our stories from BIS community with you!
It is the second year for Vincent Qin in BIS. He is now in Grade 10, about to begin his experience in DP. In this transition year of his MYP and DP study, he achieved excellent results in his academic development. In IB assessments, he achieved above 6 in all subjects (full score 7/8). In addition, Vincent shows his academic potential in other tests and competitions during the past year.
Vincent moved to China with his parents two years ago. He’s from a happy family with two older brothers who are also excellent students back in their school years.
We also invited Vincent’s parents to share some insights.
They then moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, and further moved to the state of Wisconsin in 2000. Both Kai and Yanping worked at a pharmaceutical company in Madison, Wisconsin.
Vincent was born in Madison and he has two old brothers, Tony and Daniel. Tony graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Daniel graduated from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Due to job relocation, Vincent and his parents moved from Wisconsin to California in 2013. Vincent finished his elementary school education before coming to China in 2017. Both of Vincent’s parents are now working at Wuxi Biologics, where his dad is a senior director in Quality Control and his mom leads their Training Center.
Overall, Vincent has become a much harder worker, and has much better communication and presentation skills now.
Boarding in school has also been a great learning opportunity for Vincent. Living with his friends and classmates has allowed him to become more independent, a better problem solver, and more appreciative and collaborative.
Thanks BIS!
We want Vincent to always try his best, have faith and dream big!
