As an international school with students from more than 25 countries, how do we celebrate a traditional Chinese festival: Mid-autumn Festival? We held a series of events and activities all over the school, from moon caking baking, performances to Chinese culture quiz. All our students and foreign faculty get to know better about this special holiday and local culture while enjoying all these activities.

On Sep 24th, secondary students got together in the auditorium for a Chinese Culture Quiz. Representative from four houses (Phoenix, Tianma, Dragon and Qilin) competed in the game to earn their houses points. All other students put on clothes and accessories that represented the colors of their houses to cheer up their house representatives.
On Sep 25th, primary students enjoyed their excellent assembly which was abundant of traditional Chinese singing, dancing and poem reading performances.
To celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival, students had a special Mandarin class in cooking room: mooncake making. They will then have a discussion about Mid-Autumn Festival at Mandarin class through which they will gain more cultural background about this Chinese traditional festival.
