Early Years – Christmas Camp Highlights

Early Years – Christmas Camp Highlights

by BIS / 2020.12.24 Thursday / Published in news & event

Merry Christmas!

It was so wonderful to start a Christmas adventure with our children at BIS Christmas Camp!

Christmas time with young children is a magical experience, as they encounter all of its wonders: the expectation of waiting and counting the days till Santa Claus’s visit, the years of tradition there are to explore, the hands-on, engaging and fun Christmas activities that make our learning memorable!

Christmas is about spending time with people you love, sharing the joy and of course having a great time together. So we have been planning and preparing a Mini Christmas Concert and we can’t wait to celebrate this special time with you. We would like to see you on this Friday and it will be lots of fun for all!

Below are some of the highlighted activities of this week. Join us on the Christmas adventure!

Little Star

Make Christmas Tree Special!

It’s nearly Christmas time again! Our little stars have really enjoyed making Christmas crafts as well as some beautiful Christmas decorations to make our room look just lovely for the season!

The most important activity for our little stars is to decorate Christmas tree as it is an opportunity to be happy and to enjoy the holiday. After a long discussion, we decided to make the tree even more special and unique, and design our own ornaments by our own hands and imagination.

We invited our children to choose the materials, the color scheme, the style and the texture completely to dress up our Christmas tree. We were very happy to see our tree got fuller with more creative handmade ornaments and beautiful decorations! Come and have a look at our imagination tree on this Friday! We are so proud of everyone!

Pajama Party

We have had the BEST party ever – our Christmas pajamas party! We have been experiencing many fun moments through games, music movements, stories, snacks and even a yummy cake.

It was such a fun way to celebrate Christmas with our favorite toys and holding them to listen to the Christmas stories was so sweet!

Curious Mind

Pajama Party

The pajama party is a traditional culture for celebrating Christmas in western countries. We held a pajama party for children where they can experience the Christmas culture and festive atmosphere. A story reading session and some music activities were carried out. The children were so exited to follow the rhythm of the music and performe corresponding rhythms!

Fun Phonics

Children’s language sensitivity period is between 3-6 years old, and learning phonics provides essential support to help them quickly improve their comprehensive language skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. We combined children’s favorite Christmas elements with phonics teaching and learning. In learning process, we tried various forms of games, hand crafts and writing exercises to stimulate children’s enthusiasm and initiative in learning, consolidate children’s recognition of letters and words, in order to lay a good foundation for the future English reading.
