In the afternoon of September 1st, an inspection team led by the Education Bureau of Xinwu District visited BIS on campus safety and pandemic prevention issues. The major goal of the visit was to instruct BIS on further prevention of COVID-19 pandemic for the coming fall and winter season on the basis of a fully guarantee of the smooth start of a new school year.
Mr. Fei Yufeng, Member CPC Committee and Head of Educational Supervision of Xinwu District Education Bureau led the team, accompined by Ms. Sue Su, Executive President of Boston International School.
The inspection team toured around the campus and gave strict examination on every aspect relating to the school operation, including our hazardous chemical substance, laboratory, fire alarm system, canteen, food and water safety, school bus, technical prevention, dormitory, infectious disease prevention and gate guardians, etc.
Our hard work on all these areas were fully applauded by the team, who also gave some further practical suggestions on better promote the school operations.
Students’ safety has always been our top priority. On September 4th, we organized an evacuation drill. In the morning, the fire alarm system of the campus was activated and all students, teachers and staff were evacuated by means of nearest available exits as if an emergency had actually occurred.
The drill was conducted orderly under the careful planning and deployment of Admin and the relevant departments. Responding quickly, everyone was out of the buildings within 2 minutes and evacuated to the designated areas within 8 minutes.
Boston International School has always attached great importance to campus safety, regularly organizing evacuation drills, anti-intrusion drills, earthquake drills and school bus evacuation drills to make sure the students and all staff and faculty can obtain the knowledge and experience of risk aversion and can calmly cope to ensure safety when any danger happens.
