On the morning of Septemper.13th, Mr. Gu Wanchun, CPC Working Committee Member of Xinwu Education Bureau and the Director of Xinwu District Teacher Development Center visited Boston International School, accompanied by BIS Chairman Mr. Yu, Executive President Ms. Sue Su, Academic Principal Mr. Brian Rotunno, etc.
At the beginning of this visit, Mr. Gu came to the meeting room to hear a report from BIS Academic Principal Mr. Brian Rotunno on the deployment and implementation of academic and teaching plan for the new school year at BIS. Mr. Gu gave his high praise on clear thinking of the school development and excellent achievement. Then Mr. Gu had a campus tour accompanied by BIS management team. He gave very positive comments on the brand-new look of the campus and the well-organized management work.
Mr. Gu emphasized the target to build up this international school which is to promote the further development of international education and provide higher-quality international education resource and service to the foreign families who work for the companies in Xinwu district. He wished BIS can continue to fulfill this original target and develop to a benchmarking school with continuous effort in terms of building an excellent faculty team and Executive management team, well-organized teaching system and well-structured curriculum system. He said international education has met various problems and obstacles of development in the post-covid period, he encouraged BIS to take this chance to focus on its own refinement of teaching and service system and continuously improve the satisfaction of current students and their families, at the same time, with strong supports from local government, BIS should have a proactive view of further development to explore the coverage of service out of region with its advanced international education concept and resources and meet the demand of high-quality international education in further development of economic integration in Yangtze River Delta.
BIS Chairman Mr. Yu, Executive President Ms. Sue Su expressed our sincere gratefulness to Mr. Gu’s visit and his guidance. Ms. Sue Su said the continuous developing epidemic and the changing international situation challenged our international education. However, all BIS staff is always keeping positive and active when faced the difficulties. We stived for excellent in academic and teaching system by continuous optimization to fit ourselves to the new global and domestic environment.
