
On the morning of March.15th, Mr. Gu Wanchun, CPC Working Committee Member of Xinwu Education Bureau and the Director of Xinwu District Teacher Development Center Visited Boston International School, accompanied by BIS Executive President Ms. Sue Su and Academic Principal Mr. Brian Rotunno.
During this visit, Mr. Gu recieved a detailed overview on deployment and implementation of teaching plan for the new year at BIS. Firstly, he had a campus tour and gave very positive comments on the brand-new look of the campus and the well-organized management work.
Then Mr. Gu was given a report by BIS Academic Principal Mr. Brian Rotunno in terms of achievement on IB Curriculum Audit System, Well-structured Examination System, Boston Explore Program and Boston Parent Association. Mr. Gu gave high praise of the clear thinking for the development of School and excellent achievement, especially when the school faced many difficulties during the global epidemic period last year.
He enouraged BIS to continue to develop a benchmarking school with continuous effort in terms of building an excellent faculty team and Executive management team, well-organized teaching system and well -structured curriculum system. He said BIS should take full advantage of Wuxi Regional, Cultural and Natural Resources to broaden students’ view and promote their understanding about Chinese and local culture. In a post-covid age in China, Mr. Gu praised the proactive development of Boston International School and appreciated the impressive contribution at supporting the development of local education. He encouraged BIS to continue to promote the creation and innovation of regional education development with its advanced international education concept and resources.
BIS Executive President Ms. Sue Su expressed our sincere gratefulness to Mr. Gu’s visit and his guidance, she said the continuous developing epidemic and the changing international situation challenged our international education. However, the BIS staff remain positive and active when facing these difficulties. We strived for excellency in academics and our teaching system by continuously improving and adapting to the new global and domestic environment. Thanks to the support from our authorities during the past year, the new year has begun, Boston International School is willing to continue to work with her collaborative counterparts in all sectors of society to contribute more for regional education development and actively committing to create a world-class, leading international school to support the realization of regional upgrading development blueprint.
