Boston International School proudly announces, we have recently been authorized by Cambridge International Education to offer the Cambridge Upper Secondary and the Cambridge Advanced Secondary programmes.
Upper Secondary is taught at the M4 and M5 grade levels. After two years of study (in M5), students sit for IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) Examinations and receive IGCSE Certificates.
Advanced Secondary is taught to students at the D1 and D2 grade levels. In the second year of study, students write A (Advanced) Level Examinations and receive A Level Certificates. A combination of 5 Cambridge IGCSE Certificates and 3 A Level Certificates is accepted for university entrance in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Hong Kong, Singapore, and elsewhere.
This new Cambridge authorization presents our students with another internationally recognized route through high school and into university. The first cohort of Cambridge students is the M5 class who will write IGCSE Examinations toward the end of this semester.
