As an IB Continuum School, BIS has always laid great emphasis on Arts education, including Visual Arts and Performance Arts. We have a strong Arts team to inspire students on their Music, Drama, and Visual Arts perception.
During this month, we have achieved several Arts awards from different organizations, in and out of China.
2 First Prizes and 2 Second Prizes Won in Singapore Raffles Culture & Arts Festival
Congratulations to BIS students for the excellent results they got in the 5th Singapore Raffles Culture & Arts Festival! Two of our students won First Prize, two won Second Prize in the final competition!
In August this year, four of our students participated in the 5th Singapore Raffles Culture & Arts Festival. Two of our G9 students won First and Second Prize (Beijing Division) respectively in juvenile piano group. One G3 student won First Prize (Beijing Division) in children piano group and one KG student won First Prize (Beijing Division) in early childhood piano group.
As a result, all the participating students have got the access to the online final competition with the winners from all divisions over the world in November.
BIS Wins Excellent Organization Award in the 5th Annual Foreign Language Festival Talent Show of WND
On the afternoon of December 3rd, Boston International School was invited to attend the 5th Annual Foreign Language Festival Talent Show of WND (Xinwu District), Wuxi. The 3rd Graders from Boston International School gave a performance using a combination of instruments, drama, vocals, and dance, showing the happiness in their childhood in a humorous and creative way.
After competition and judge by the experts, the performance stood out among the others and won the “Excellent Organization Award”. BIS Assistant Academic Principal Mr. David Bremner took the stage to receive the award on behalf of BIS. The Foreign Language Festival is sponsored and organized by Education Bureau and Education Development Center of Xinwu District with purpose of advancing the Spoken-English level and international literacy of students in all schools of Xinwu District.
