Congratulations to our graduates from
Class of 2020!
In the evening of May 29th, Boston International School held its graduation ceremony for G12 students, starting with a welcome speech from Executive Principal, Mr. Rob Stewart. Mr. Stewart expressed congratulations and wished the graduates a bright future.
“One of the learner profiles is being Principled. What that means is knowing what is right and wrong. And that will guide you the rest of your life.”
We were also honored to have Ms. Yanping Qin, Director of Training Center from WuXi Biologics as a keynote speaker. WuXi Biologics is a leading global company of development and manufacture of biological products. Ms. Qin established the Training Center herself, and is in charge of all new and current employee’s training activities in Wuxi and also for various global sites, including the USA, Ireland and Germany. She greatly inspired our graduates by reflecting and sharing her own journey of life.
“Life from here on is one big question mark and that’s okay. It’s okay to not have all the answers. It’s okay to make mistakes. It’s okay to fail at the first. But you always get back and take the next step. What BIS taught you is how to learn. Always strive to be better, push forward at every twist and turn on the journey of life. If you work hard today, you will have more choices tomorrow.”
Dr. Ann Wagner, Secondary Principal then gave her graduate address. At this special time of global crisis, Dr. Wagner chose a unique topic of “Chaos Theory”, through which she encouraged students to find their own centers though we are being through an age of uncertainty.
“It’s the unexpected events that make us our best selves. As we reflect on the times when we personally have ascended into chaos, we can notice that as it ends, we emerged, changed, stronger in some ways new. Find your center, find your meaning.”
Our DP Coordinator, Mr. Matt Kirk, as master of the ceremony, had also wished the graduates all the best.
“The world is changing rapidly. I hope that our program, the IB, and the people that work with them will give them the tool to cope with the world that we can’t predict.”
Graduate students presented their speeches to express their gratitude to the school, to their teachers, to their friends, and mostly to their families.
Our talented junior students and teachers expressed their sincere wishes by amazing performances.
It was also a great moment for graduates to share with their families and friends.
Congratulations
