To welcome our new teachers and help them know better about Wuxi and Chinese culture, a special event: BIS Amazing Race was held on Aug 7th. Our faculty and staff were divided into 23 teams for a race around Wuxi.
Each team has given themselves an interesting name representing all team members. Therefore, we had a bunch of innovations on names like AGGG (initials from four members), Wonder 4, Diversitas, etc.
The race was split into several legs, with each leg requiring teams to deduce clues, navigate themselves in different areas, interact with locals, perform physical and mental challenges, and vie for public transportation options on a limited budget.
All participating members had a great time enjoying their race while got to know each other as well as the city better. Finally, the champion went to team PASOMiLY (initials from Parfait, Sonia, Michael and Lynn).
Back to the campus where the finish line was set, a BBQ party was awaiting. All our faculty and staff had great fun enjoying food, beer and music.
