On the afternoon of October 11th, Mrs. Song Yinghong, the Deputy Director of Association for Promoting Democracy of Xinwu District visited Boston International School, accompanied by BIS Executive President Ms. Sue Su, Executive Principal Mr. Rob Stewart, etc.
During this visit, firstly, Mrs. Song had a campus tour and visited the primary classrooms, the secondary classrooms, the early-year classrooms, canteen and performance art center. She highly praised the beautiful campus environment, the international atmosphere and the high-standard equipment and facilities application.
After the tour, Mrs. Song come to the conference room for a presentation about BIS in terms of curriculum system, faculty team, student status, accreditation and authorization, international collaborative cooperation and communications. After the presentation, Mrs. Song highly appreciated the professional and considerate reception arrangement from BIS. She introduced that Association for Promoting Democracy in China is made up of experts and elites from each industry mainly focus on education, culture, media, the function of this association is to get close communication and interaction with companies in each industry to get the most update info from them about their development status and any advice or demand to get more support from government, which will be the basic materials for the advice to support government to make and improve any relative policy. For this visit, they were assigned by XinWu District’s Committee of CPPCC for the research with topic of ‘how high-quality educational resources promote the development integration of City and Industry’. They would like to take this opportunity to know more about BIS, who has been one of leading international schools in Wuxi, in terms of problems met during her development and suggestions to improve the development of education industry in Xinwu district.
BIS Executive President Ms. Sue Su and Executive Principal Mr. Rob Stewart expressed our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Song’s visit. Mr. Rob Stewart said he is very happy to witness the fast development of the international education in Wuxi during the past 10 years. He said the topic has been stressed much importance since 10 years ago when he started to work in international education in Wuxi and he is really impressed that our local government is still taking focus on this meaningful topic. As an international School, BIS is devoting herself to be part of local community and support the regional development to achieve its future blueprint. The two parties then communicated further on the detailed problems and suggestions for BIS’ development.
At the end of the meeting, Mr. Rob Stewart expressed our sincere appreciation for the patient listening and attention from local government. Mrs. Song thanked the frank and detailed advices from Mr. Rob Stewart which will enrich the basic materials for this research. She also gave best wishes to BIS on behalf of Association for Promoting Democracy of Xinwu District. She believed that BIS will have a much brighter future based on its with its advanced International Education Management Concept and resources.
