On the morning of March.27th, 2021 BIS International Volunteer Service Project themed ‘World Travel without Boundaries’ started with the first session of Travel in Asia. BIS International student Tristan Chay Yong Keng from Grade 9 and BIS international teachers from India, Korea, Singapore, and Japan introduced their countries to students from the local community. They discussed culture, food, customs, and landmarks with a PPT presentation, and then shared music & dancing, handicraft, and Asian food from the different countries.
BIS Assistant Academic Principal Mr. David Bremner attended the event and shared his perspective about international mindset in welcome speech. Students from local schools, children of overseas returnees, and children from Wuxi social public caring project called ‘Children in Trouble’ joined and enjoyed the event accompanied by their parents.

International Volunteer Service Projects is initiated by Wuxi WND Government with the purpose to gather social volunteers in all walks of life to provide a common platform to build a caring society and improve the life qualify for all peoples in the community. The projects covered multi themes and sponsored by WND leading World Top 500 enterprises like Hynix, Sony, Panasonic, and other key social organizations in WND like Boston International School.
2021 BIS International Volunteer Service Project themed ‘World Travel without Boundaries’ will be a series activity with sessions across main continents in the World. International Volunteers from BIS community will introduce their own countries (or countries they once traveled) to local students (aged from 6-13) and their families to broaden their view and enrich their knowledge. As an international school whose community members are from more than 26 countries around the world, BIS takes the social responsibility of being a liaison to promote international culture communication and exchange. This project is to take full advantage of BIS international community to contribute to local community.
