“Dear Student Athletes, Coaches, and Fans,
On behalf of the entire staff and faculty I welcome you to Boston International School. We are excited to host our first ACAMIS athletic event at our brand-new campus.
At BIS, we embrace ACAMIS’s purpose of promoting international friendship among schools, students, and faculty. I am confident you will find our staff warm in their welcome and accommodating to your needs. Please do not hesitate to ask if you need assistance.
It is within this same spirit of international friendship that we seek to frame the spirit of competition. Knowing that we learn and grow when we take chances, we trust that the experience will outweigh the outcomes.
I know many of you have traveled a good distance to be here. We hope your experience at Boston International School and within the city of Wuxi will be a positive and memorable one.
Let the games begin!”

“Welcome to Wuxi, to BIS, and to the 2019 ACAMIS Silver Division Basketball Championships. We at BIS are excited and honored to be hosting this wonderful ACAMIS event.
The competition is sure to be fierce and the skill levels high. I know that you are all here to win, and rightly so! Through your sport, you will learn much more about yourselves and develop friendships that will stay with you for life. You will experience first-hand the thrill of winning, as well as, sometimes, the bitter taste of defeat. If you can accept the victories and defeats with equal composure and grace, then you can earn the respect of those around you.
I am pleased to welcome the players and thank all the coaches, support staff members and officials for the long hours of patience and skill they have so generously given. Without them, these games would not be possible.”
